The Korat Grey Band is a five piece, female fronted blues band from Minneapolis, MN.
Lead by vocalists Nina DeNio and Shannon Kelley, the band also features Brent Hedtke on guitar, Pete St. Martin on bass, and Brandon Day on drums. The KGB was formed in the summer of 2009 and began playing shows around the Twin Cities soon after. In March of 2010 The KGB recorded their first demo with the renowned Adam Tucker of Signaturetone Studios.
Fusing traditional, authentic blues with pop sensibility, sultry harmonies and just a touch of good old fashioned rock n' roll, the six original songs on this recording showcase the wide range of styles the band is capable of. From Albert King, Albert Collins and Elmore James to Prince, The Beatles and Linda Ronstadt, The KGB draws from a long list of influences and aims to offer up something new and exciting to the blues genre.
